• The enforcement of the anti littering laws is almost non existent.
• The most offending items are the least bio-degradable…20 years for plastic bags to disappear, 100 years for aluminium cans …and, as for plastic bottles, they just go on for ever.
• So unless we, the people who pass the stuff every day of our lives, do something about it, the eyesores are just going to multiply.

But, together, we have immense power. And it needn’t take much extra time at all. We all know several spots we pass regularly, on foot or in a car, where five or ten minutes’ work filling a bag every now and then would make a big difference.
